New Leaf Announces Release of ENERGYsmart Online Nutritional Health & Tracking Program

SAINT PAUL, Minnesota — Angeion Corporation (NASDAQ SC: ANGN) today announced the release of ENERGYsmart, the newest addition to its growing list of New Leaf® branded health and fitness products. ENERGYsmart is an online meal planning and tracking program sold through New Leaf partners for their clients and members. The program provides a “dietary roadmap™” to energize and train an individual’s metabolism and create a healthier lifestyle.
“ENERGYsmart uses New Leaf’s patented metabolic measurement technology to accurately determine one’s daily caloric needs. With this individualized information, the program can then automatically create personalized menus, grocery lists, and nutritional plans designed to help the client achieve their specific health and fitness, weight management or athletic performance goal,” according to Terry Kapsen, Vice President, New Leaf Marketing and Business
Development. “ENERGYsmart offers a wide variety of meal plans to meet the special needs of clients such as low-fat, low-carb, vegetarian, wheat-free, glycemic or heart-healthy diets. In addition, the program’s flexibility provides easy selection from a database of thousands of food exchanges to accommodate personal food preferences. ENERGYsmart includes daily nutrition and exercise logs to track calories consumed and calories burned with graphical reports to provide a printable record of your progress,” commented Kapsen.
The menu plans in ENERGYsmart are designed by Registered Dieticians to provide caloric levels and nutritional requirements and comply with guidelines of the American Dietetic Association and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). BecauseENERGYsmart is web-based, it can be used anywhere, anytime, with the simplicity of a mouse-click on any internet computer.
